shall try to get him off this next week if I posably [sic] can shall buy him a ticket through by the Southern Pacific ?? it will cost me over 60 Dollars but I have told him its money that I had saved to come to Cal and that he must pay me back he says he will pay it back as soon as he earns it. I shall be very much disapointed if he does not as it means much to me, I know it will be better for him come or I would not send him to you all he wants is encouragement and I am sure he will do well.

?? write a day or two before he starts as you will not ?? a time to write before he as ?? will send you some ?? and some ?? remember as to Gerty and tell how I should come ?? someday.

?? in good ?? and working, ?? Davis is still away I never hear his name mentioned ?? wish to be remembered to you they are coming to ?? dinner with us Sunday we are to have Rabbit Pies that I ?? the other day how about the ducks I shall have to ?? how I came shoot yet my eyesight as got much better
